Economic and financial journalism is both a skill and an art. Recently FNB Economist Cees Bruggemans wrote about the perils of reporting on inflation. Do you mention price levels or percentage changes? What is CPI anyway? Good reporting gives a balanced view of size, numbers, samples and means/averages and variation.
